I took the time to go out on the beach to capture the milky way while I was on vacation on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The cloud cover and light pollution was making it difficult for astrophotography, but perfect to be a little creative!

Severe warned thunderstorms moved into the Hilton Head, South Carolina area this evening. The storms produced some amazing lightning. This is a shot I have been wanting to get for years, lightning over a beach! These anvil crawlers were amazing!
