My chase partners James, Zachary and I decided to chase storms south of Oklahoma City for many reasons. Ended up on the western edge of the complex north of Chickasha, OK. It was beautiful, but I was also saddened that it moved into the city. My thoughts are with all that were effected. #stormchasing  #clouds365  #oklahoma Â

It is a amazing sight to watch a supercell form and produce a funnel cloud right in front of you. That is what I witnessed today in Sterling, Oklahoma this afternoon. Can't officially call it a tornado, because I can not confirm it hit the ground, but the rotation was fast and tight. We were hit with RFD and had to move quickly. Incredible day! #stormchasing #clouds365 #supercell #oklahoma Â

It was a special morning in Frisco, Texas. I set up at one of my favorite spots to capture the sunrise. The cirrus clouds in the distance were already started to glow, 45 minutes before the sun hit the horizon. As you can see in the first 2 shots below, the color was spectacular. I noticed fog starting to come in, just in time for the sun to come up! I had one camera set up taking wide shots that I ended up putting together for a time lapse video above.

We drove into the Grand Teton National Park on last week. There was late afternoon storm building over the Teton range. I captured a wall cloud with heavy rain and crepuscular rays over the mountain – 7-16-12 – one of my favorites of the project! About 30 minutes later, the storm moved out over the Snake River (pictured above) and towards Yellowstone. It was beautiful moving away from us. Click on the image to enlarge.
2º in DC today. Not extremely happy about it, I could not feel my face! Had to get this shot.
